The Innovations in Science, Technology, and Society (ISTS) invites original, high-quality contributions that explore the intersections of scientific research, technological innovation, and their societal impacts. We welcome submissions from a broad range of disciplines, encouraging interdisciplinary perspectives that address contemporary challenges and opportunities.

1. Types of Submissions

ISTS accepts:

  • Original Research Articles – Empirical studies presenting new findings.

  • Review Articles – Comprehensive overviews of current knowledge on relevant topics.

  • Case Studies – In-depth analyses of specific real-world applications or innovations.

  • Policy Analyses – Critical evaluations of policies and their implications.

  • Short Communications – Brief reports on significant findings or innovations.

  • Book Reviews – Critical assessments of recent publications in the field.

2. Submission Guidelines

  • Manuscripts must be submitted via the online submission system on the ISTS website.

  • Submissions must adhere to the journal’s Author Guidelines for formatting, referencing, and structure.

  • Articles should generally include: Title Page, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgments, and References.

3. Ethical Standards

  • Submissions must be original and not under consideration elsewhere.

  • All research involving human participants or animals must include evidence of ethical approval.

  • Authors must comply with the journal’s Publication Ethics and Plagiarism Policy.

4. Peer Review Process

  • All submissions undergo a double-blind peer review to ensure impartiality.

  • At least two independent experts review each manuscript for originality, rigor, and relevance.

5. Article Processing Charges (APCs)

  • ISTS operates as an open-access journal, and APCs may apply to cover publication costs.

  • Information on APCs, waivers, and payment methods is available on the journal’s website.

6. Authorship and Contributions

  • All authors must have made a significant scholarly contribution to the manuscript.

  • The corresponding author is responsible for all communication with the journal and ensuring co-authors’ approval of the final version.

7. Post-Acceptance Process

  • Accepted manuscripts undergo professional copyediting, typesetting, and proofing.

  • Authors will receive proofs for approval before online publication.

8. Open Access Policy

  • All content is freely accessible online without subscription fees.

  • Authors retain copyright while granting ISTS the right to publish the work under its open-access license.
